Strategic Vision and Program Development
In today’s ever evolving marketplace, a successful design project requires careful consideration to insure that all opportunities are identified and resources used efficiently and effectively. At Cannon Design, we strongly believe in creating interior environments that accommodate change. Our understanding of the forces and factors that shape the way a space functions today and tomorrow is fundamental. We partner with each client to understand and embrace their strategic vision, translating their goals and expectations into environments that satisfy functional and strategic requirements within the parameters of a proposed budget.
In consultation with the client, Cannon Design develops a strategy that not only encompasses their current project, but extends well beyond it. Our approach begins with a clear understanding of the client’s vision for the project and anticipated results. Once the vision is established, a comprehensive data gathering and analysis process follows. Drawing upon Cannon Design’s extensive experience in the development of programming, space, furniture and planning standards, we address the strategic goals of the project and develop a unique flexible interior environment model that anticipates growth and change.
Our visioning and program development services include:
- Project vision and strategy development
- Pre-lease consulting

Interior Design
At Cannon Design, we believe interior design should be responsive, insightful, and dynamic. Our team of design professionals takes pride in their ability to develop and deliver innovative design solutions, continually bringing the client the best thinking across all of the markets we serve. We research the marketplace on an ongoing basis to identify the trends, products, materials and policies that impact the interior environment.
With the client’s strategic vision as our guide, and working within the established budget and design guidelines, we develop a schematic design which offers preliminary working concepts for furniture, finishes and interior architectural elements. Considerable emphasis is placed on the ambiance and image of the space and how the concept is expressed through architectural components and materials.
Maximizing the performance of building materials is a prime component of schematic design and the specification of environmentally sustainable materials essential in achieving truly durable and sustainable interior design. The approved schematic design is further refined during the design development process, during which drawings, sketches and sample boards are used to communicate the proposed image and visual environment. Upon client approval, drawings then evolve into final construction documents used for bidding, construction and schedule control.
We are committed to providing innovative and sustainable design solutions by offering services that include:
- Schematic & design development
- Construction documentation & specifications
- Cost control & critical path scheduling
- Construction bidding, evaluation & award
- Construction administration
