Description
Symbolic of the international stature of the organization, this 207,000 sf research facility occupies a prominent hilltop site, establishing a new focus for a campus shared with the University of West Virginia. The building’s upper stories offer a technologically sophisticated environment supportive of world-caliber research into workplace and environmental issues, while the first floor houses computing, teaching and reference facilities. A two-story atrium creates a dynamic space for common dining and meeting areas to encourage dialogue and collaboration among scientists, scholars and visitors to the campus.
